Pablo López made what was likely his final rehab start on August 31, building up to 5.2 IP and 82 pitches while not allowing any runs and punching out seven batters. He could join the Minnesota rotation in the coming days and would be a huge boost for both his team and for fantasy owners who have held him or recently scooped him up off the wire.
Mick Abel, acquired in a deadline deal with the Phillies, made two appearances after his recent call-up, but didn't fare well. In one start and one relief outing he pitched a total of 4 IP while serving up 11 ER and 14 hits. This comes after Abel posted a 5.04 ERA and 19% K% in eight games (seven starts) with the Phillies.
