NEWS: The Astros agreed to terms with 1B Christian Walker to a three-year, $60M deal.

BHQ SPIN: Walker solidifies the Astros infield in the wake of Alex Bregman leaving in free agency and the Isaac Paredes trade. Walker will take over full-time 1B duties and we can expect Paredes to do the same at 3B, as this effectively shuts the door on a Bregman return. Walker’s RH power and prolific HR numbers of the past three seasons (95 HR) should continue in hitter-friendly Daikin Park.
