The expectation is that Robert Jr. will be activated when rosters expand on September 1. It’s been an up-and-down season for Robert Jr., but his performance has improved of late (.267/.321/.520 in 84 August PA). Robert Jr. is expected to be an everyday player against left-handed pitching, which would spell an end to the recent uptick in time against left-handed pitching for either Leody Taveras or Dylan Beavers.
