NEWS: OF Seiya Suzuki will not be ready for Opening Day.

BHQ SPIN: Chicago announced on Saturday that Suzuki, who suffered a PCL strain during the World Baseball Classic, will not be ready for Opening Day. However, the team still has yet to determine whether he will require an IL stint. For now, we’ve given a slight decrease to his projected at-bats due to the increased uncertainty. Suzuki’s injury will provide another avenue for playing time for Matt Shaw, who is expected to fill a super-utility role and has made a team-high eight starts in right field this spring.
