PT TODAY: Suarez returns to Phils' rotation

Phillies

NEWS: Philadelphia activated lefthander Ranger Suárez from the IL and optioned Luis Ortiz to Triple-A.

IMPACT: Medium

BHQ SPIN: Suarez missed the first six weeks of the season with an elbow strain. He started Saturday at Coors field and lasted four innings, yielding seven hits, a walk and three earned runs. He did strike out four. Health - and performance - permitting, Suarez is expected to remain in the Phillie rotation going forward. We’ve been anticipating his return so he only receives a small bump in projected innings. Ortiz may return, but he is not expected to be fantasy relevant this season.

NEWS: Both Jazz Chisholm and Jesús Sánchez left Saturday’s game with injuries.
