Rays | Ji-Man Choi placed on IL
Tampa Bay Rays 1B Ji-Man Choi (groin) was placed on the 10-day injured list Friday, June 4, because of a groin strain. The team also recalled LHP Ryan Sherriff from Class AAA Durham.   Source: MLB.com
 
BHQ take: Choi's absence is not expected to be a long one, but while he is out, it should make Díaz essentially an everyday player. Díaz is still searching for his first home run of the season, and given his high ground ball rate, that search may continue for a while longer.
