Julks among OF group to fill in for Greene

NEWS: Detroit placed OF Riley Greene on the 15-day IL with a hamstring strain and recalled OF Corey Julks from Triple-A.
IMPACT: High
BHQ SPIN: Greene’s season comes to a halt just as the Tigers’ bats are heating up. There’s been little word on the severity of the injury (MRI results are pending), but Detroit thought best to shut him down for at least 10 days. Julks is a 30-year-old journeyman with a .798 OPS at Triple-A Toledo this year. He’ll be part of the rotation along with Ben Malgeri, James Outman and perhaps Javier Báez to fill in the LF spot for now.
