NEWS: Lance McCullers (RHP, HOU)  will be on Opening Day IL due to a strained forearm muscle, with late April being the earliest estimate for 2023 debut.

BHQ SPIN: No stranger to arm injuries, McCullers didn’t make his 2022 debut until August due to a more serious forearm stain. An MRI reportedly showed no structural damage, and McCullers is now only projected to be shut down for just a few weeks – but the return ETA provided here could well prove to be optimistic. Rookie Hunter Brown (RHP, HOU) will take McCullers’ rotation spot.
