NEWS: The Padres activated OF Jackson Merrill from the 10-day IL and optioned OF Brandon Lockridge to Triple-A El Paso in a corresponding move.

BHQ SPIN: Merrill returned to the Padres lineup for the first time since June 14 when he suffered a concussion when he was tagged on the helmet. Prior to going on the IL he was hitting .293/.343/.470 with 5 HR, 23 R and 22 RBI. Merrill (+5% PT) hit in the #2 spot in his return to the Padres lineup on Sunday, June 22 and should man CF and hit at the top of the Padres lineup virtually every day.
