ROTISSERIE: Lessons from Tout and LABR

The annual Tout Wars and League of Alternative Baseball Reality (LABR ) experts’ drafts provide information that Rotisserie owners can usefully mine for their drafts.

As we head into the busiest draft weekend of the year, the Tout Wars drafts might be more useful, as they happened last weekend, while LABR drafted the first weekend in March.

So let’s look at these experts drafts.

Observation #1: More money for pitchin’

Much expert talk in the most recent off-season insisted that top pitching has become nearly as sound an investment as hitting. And at first glance, the Hit%-Pitch% split appeared to be right in line with the usual 70%-30%:
