Staff Survey: BaseballHQ and TGFBI

The Great Fantasy Baseball Invitational (TGFBI) is an NFBC-style network of leagues made up of over 400 fantasy baseball writers and analysts. Participants are put into 15-team mixed leagues with traditional 5x5 scoring. In addition to the individual league competition, there is an overall aspect where all individual teams are ranked agains each other. The slow draft (up to 4 hours per pick) got underway on February 26. BaseballHQ has legions of writers/analysts participating this year; here’s some advice from the hive mind regarding preparation for this type of draft. In a few weeks, we’ll poll the participants to see how they like their teams, and if there were any lessons learned in the process.
