It can be easy to overlook hidden September performances. After all, by the time we get around to analyzing them, both the season—and our in-season roster tinkering—are over.

But there can be nice value by looking at September skills and stats. September playing time gives a glimpse at developing players who could receive an extended audition the following spring. And those who post intriguing skills can become sneaky profit centers on draft day.
