ARSENAL REPORT: High Octane Sliders

This week in the Arsenal Report we are looking at two pitchers with dominant sliders that are headed in opposite directions, velocity-wise. Harder sliders are not always better, as it is a balancing act with a lot of other variables, including how velocity affects movement and how the pitch fits into the overall repertoire. The fastest sliders can sometimes be better classified as cutters, but as we will examine below, that is not always the case.
