RELIEVERS—2019 Gambles

This column is aimed at gambles. Gambles here are relievers who have roles that are better than their current projected skills, with the idea that they might lose those roles in-season. Some of the relievers examined in this column last year were Brad Ziegler (RHP, FA), Luke Gregerson (RHP, STL), Mark Melancon (RHP, SF), Shane Greene (RHP, DET), and Arodys Vizcaíno (RHP, ATL). Let's start this year with the Arizona Diamondbacks, who have Greg Holland (RHP, ARI):

This column covers relievers who might cost you a lot chasing saves but then fizzle out because of skills or injury risk.

This is the annual sleepers column, but let's be honest: There are no sleepers. There are relievers with great skills who are cheaper than they should be ... and that's what you want anyway.
