Relievers you can get for a buck or less

This week is the annual exercise of filtering first by $1 or less on the BHQ projections, then filtering further for a xERA under 3.50 and a K%-BB% that is at least 17%. Typically, you want 20% from relievers if you can get it. But relaxing it a little has given us a good six groupings to discuss.

The first grouping consists of possible closers for the Miami Marlins and Texas Rangers. Nothing written in ink just yet, which is why they are so cheap. But the skills are there to grab a profit if you get the right guy. Here are the current projections:

Every week brings changes to bullpens. One game does not give us much, but it gives us something, like a Jordan Romano (RHP, LAA) save.
