The season has begun! But don't overreact to the first week of news. Let's look at what happened on Opening Day and then tour through some early ideas about Arizona, Kansas City, Miami, Minnesota, and San Francisco.
The Mets preserved a close lead just like they drew it up: Seth Lugo (RHP, NYM) in the seventh, Jeurys Familia (RHP, NYM) in the eighth, and Edwin Díaz (RHP, NYM) in the ninth. 3 IP, 4 strikeouts, no baserunners. The A's and Padres had similar experiences.
