The past two weeks, this column has looked at the relievers who have delivered over the first half the season, then the relievers who have not delivered but are projected to be good the rest of the season. This week, we put together a list of the relievers who have managed to post a 20% or better K%-BB% to this point in the year and who are projected to post a 20% or better K%-BB% the rest of the year. Pretty simple concept, but only 35 relievers make this week's lists. From a skills standpoint, these are the arms you want.
These relievers are grouping by year-to-date K%-BB%. This first grouping are the studs with a 30% or better K%-BB%:
YTD | SV | HD | IP | ERA | xERA | WHIP | K% | K-BB% | HR/9 |
Miller, Mason OAK | 15 | 0 | 39.2 | 2.27 | 2.19 | 0.86 | 47% | 37% | 0.7 |
Hader, Josh HOU L | 18 | 0 | 42.0 |
