RE-WATCH 2019: Milwaukee at New York Mets, April 27

(Follow this link for an introduction and overview of this series.)

Date and venue: April 17, 2019 at Citi Field; New York, NY
Pitching matchup: RHP Brandon Woodruff (2-1, 5.81 ERA) vs. RHP Noah Syndergaard (1-2, 5.90 ERA)
Setup and context: Second of a three-game weekend set; both teams one game over .500 four weeks into the season—Brewers were 14-13; Mets 13-12. Christian Yelich was off to his torrid start; Pete Alonso was starting to make others notice, but both starters had been erratic so far in the young season. Home Mets broadcasters specifically concerned about Syndergaard’s beginning and some pitch-mix questions.
