Spring bats to follow, 2026

Let's continue our look at the most intriguing players to keep on your radar this spring.

Here are several overlooked bats in each league that showed intriguing skill flashes in 2025 with a focus on those who could be available in deep leagues.


AMERICAN LEAGUE

Colt Keith (DH/3B/2B, DET; pictured) will qualify at multiple positions in most leagues to start the 2026 season. There are more intriguing reasons to view him as a breakout speculation, namely the jump in batted ball quality that he showed in the second half of last season. Further, his decent .718 OPS vL in 2024 turned into an ugly .403 OPS vL in 2025, so there's hope his struggles against southpaws can be remedied.
