Spring bats to follow, 2024

Let's continue our look at the most intriguing players to keep on your radar this spring.

Here are several overlooked bats in each league that showed intriguing flashes in 2023, either in the majors or minors.


AMERICAN LEAGUE

Dairon Blanco (LF, KC) had a better second half in 2023 than you might realize: .297 BA, 23 SB in 102 PA. After struggling to make contact early in the season (58% ct% in 1H), Blanco put bat on ball on the regular (80% ct% in 2H). In addition, his Statcast sprint speed ranked in the 100th percentile (30.3 ft/sec). If he can add some more hard contact to his profile (86.7 mph EV), Blanco will deliver double-digit value for the first time in his age-30 season.
