BATTING: Post-break HCtX leaders

One of the newer batting metrics we’ve been test-driving at BaseballHQ.com is the Hard Contact Index (HCtX), a measure which counts how often a batter makes hard contact as compared with other batters across baseball.
Our research has indicated that HCtX is an excellent predictor of batting success. Elite levels are 150 and higher.
In this edition of the BBG, we’ll look for the batters who have the highest HCtX scores since the all-star break, and the batters whose HCtX scores have risen—and fallen—the most in the period.
We’re hoping to identify batters who have at least demonstrated for a two-month stretch that they have a core skill of batting productive success: The ability to put the ball into play with some mustard on...
