BATTERS: Quarter pole overachievers

There is a thin line between a sell high player and a breakout performance. After all, unexpected performance spikes come in many forms and at various points in a career so it can be difficult to separate the flashes in the pan from the Real McCoys. However most genuine breakout performances are hinted at by previous BPIs before a collision of skill and opportunity produce an impact season. While the absence of those positive indicators does not necessarily invalidate the performance, it does suggest a sell high opportunity based on the available information.
