BATTERS: None on/runners on splits, 2019

One approach to identify potential BA, HR, and RBI surgers is to split their skills and analyze the extremes to determine if they could be a tweak away from finishing strong. Looking at a batter's stats and skills with the bases empty compared to with runners on base is one way to do this.

Let's start by setting some performance baselines in these two scenarios.

  • Bases Empty Stats & Skills: 2013-2019 YTD

Year League BA OBP Slg OPS ISO | bb% ct% Eye h%

    2013 AL .252 .313 .404 .717 .152 | 7% 78% 0.37 30%
    2014 AL .246 .305 .381 .686 .136 | 7% 77% 0.34 29%
