Alek Manoah is struggling with control

Alek Manoah (RHP, TOR) dominated in 2022 with a workhorse-type season. Manoah posted a 2.24 ERA, 0.99 WHIP, 23% K%, and 6% BB% in 197 innings. His 3.81 xERA and 1.19 xWHIP hinted at regression since he limited the H% and stranded 82% of the runners last season. Manoah earned $30 of value in 2022 as one of the top starting pitchers, which led to a top-75 ADP.

Unfortunately, Manoah's season hasn't fared well, with a 5.46 ERA, 1.77 WHIP, 17.6% K%, and 15% BB% in 57.2 innings. Outside of two solid starts where he tossed seven scoreless innings to limit the damage, he struggled with his control.
