We, as in evaluators, fantasy managers and fans, make a lot excuses for early season strugtgles. It’s sometimes the weather or getting back to the regular six- to seven-day-a-week grind. It’s sometimes a matter of a player getting their feet wet at a new level or on a new team. Whatever it is, there are a lot of excuses. Saying all of that, it’s presently surprising to see something special within the first two weeks of the season. Special is the only word to define Andrew Abbott’s (LHP, CIN) start last week.
Congrats to Southern League Pitcher of the Week Andrew Abbott!
Abbott was phenomenal with 6 scoreless innings and a career-high 14 strikeouts. @andrewabbott33 leads all of @milb in strikeouts with 25!
