MINORS: Making sense of a crumbling prospect player pool

Raise your hand if you are eagerly awaiting the arrival of all the prep and college prospects about to emerge onto player pools next week after lthe draft? The BHQ Minors Teams is in the process of compiling our midseason Top 50 prospect list. It’s a very lean player pool to chose from, especially since prospects who have played at the big-league level this year are not in consideration since the assumption is those prospects are likely to graduate rookie status before the off-season begins. Let’s examine the current, pre-draft player pool and offer prospect strategies to those of us who won’t have the ability to add first-year player draft prospects until the off-season.
