Major league debuts are fun. Last week, we had a plethora of HQ100 pitcher debuts, including Casey Mize, Sixto Sánchez and Tariq Skubal. While it is fun to hammer out scouting reports on the top tier guys, plenty of ink has already been written about them. In this season, it is best to concentrate on guys who may not have the hype or interest of the fantasy prospect community coming into their debuts.
Two pitchers debuted last week who haven’t been seen on a mound since 2018, the Indians Triston McKenzie and the White Sox Dane Dunning. Today, we’ll look at McKenizie, who has been ranked in our HQ100 the past few off-seasons but has been out since August 2018 and missed all of 2019 with an upper back injury.
