MINORS: The Eyes have it—Sean Newcomb & Felix Jorge

The MLB trade deadline has come and gone. Some sellers, like the Yankees and the Brewers, have seen the minor league depth of their organization explode. Other sellers, such as Braves and Twins, didn't sell off quality players to get a rich return. The Braves completed two deals before the deadline, receiving one prospect in return, Travis Demeritte (2014 scouting report). The Twins completed three deals, resulting in the acquisition of three pitching prospects.

I hoped my scouting report this week would focus on prospects traded at the deadline. However, the prospects traded during the last few weeks already had scouting reports filed on them. Luckily, with a dozen players in queue, I am ready to roll with a regular prospect piece.
