MINORS: The Eyes Have It—Cristian Javier, David Peterson, Ryan McBroom & James Karinchak

The best-laid plans are always subject to change. This week, the Eyes Have it series was meant only for preseason HQ100 guys. The plan was an article on Luis Robert, Nico Hoerner & Dustin May on Tuesday and a full feature on Spencer Howard with rookie notes to follow. However, scouting last Friday’s Howard start, something wasn’t quite right. He struggled spinning off his SL. In the 4th inning, he left the start with a blister on his right middle finger, which explained his difficulties gripping and spinning his breaking ball. A Howard report will wait.

Instead, let’s expand the two of the rookie notes profiles and further clear out my scouting notebook with thoughts on guys who don’t project as top 150 fantasy producers but should have...
