MINORS: The Eyes have it—Carson Fulmer, Chih-Wei Hu

The Southern League is short on top flight talent this season. Of the eight Southern League prospects ranked in the HQ100, I've scouted four. I covered Brewers outfielder Brett Phillips (#34 on the HQ100), Braves shortstop Ozhainio Albies (#38 on the HQ100) and Cubs outfielder Billy McKinney (#65 on the HQ100) last season and knocked out a scouting report on Rays shortstop Willy Adames (#48 on the HQ100) just last week. While the lack of top-flight talent is depressing, the quality of depth in the league is astounding.

Scouting the Southern League is different this year. My goal is identify under-the-radar prospects to supplement the known commodities. This week is a perfect example of my efforts. Chicago White Sox pitching prospect
