MINORS: The Eyes have it—Auburn, Vermont in New York-Penn League

I don't get to attend many short-season ball games and when I do, there generally aren't many prospects worth talking about. The upside of the trip is usually the cheaper hot dogs and beer, lighter attendance, and zanier between-innings debuachery. I just happened to be in Burlington, Vermont recently and decided to catch a Vermont Lake Monsters game with the extended family. It was a beautiful night—74 degrees—and the tickets were free. Further, the kids ate free, which made my night that much more enjoyable. 

The best part of the night was being on hand to witness some outstanding prospects. The Auburn Doubledays (affiliate of the Nationals) were in town to take on the Lake Monsters, an affiliate of the Athletics. Not only were there...
