Now that that dust has settled on the 2014 minor league season, we take a look back at the HQ100 top prospect list to see how our crack team of minor league experts (Jeremy Deloney, Brent Hershey, Chris Mallonee, Colby Garrapy, and Rob Gordon) fared.
In general we did a solid job projecting prospects that would have an impact in the majors in 2014. Twenty of our top 50 prospects spent time in the majors this year with Oscar Taveras #2, Gregory Polanco #10, Nick Castellanos #16, Carlos Martínez #19, and Aaron Sanchez #26 playing important roles for playoff contending teams. On the other hand, none of our Top 10 prospects have yet to have the type of impact we anticipated.
