This week we continue our annual review of the top prospects in baseball by position, focusing on shortstops. Unlike most of the other positions on the infield, shortstop typically has as much high-end talent as all of the other infield positions combined. A quick look at our annual top prospect list shows that five of the top 30 prospects in baseball and 9 of the top 100 prospects call shortstop home. And that doesn’t include Japanese import and potential Rookie of the Year candidate Hiroyuki Nakajima (OAK).
