MINORS: 2012 Top 100 Prospects Discussion, pt. 1

A week after the release of BaseballHQ.com's Top 100 Prospect list, Minor League Co-Directors Rob Gordon and Jeremy Deloney are back to discuss the some of the players and the process. Unlike previous seasons, each writer submitted his own Top 100 list, and the two were combined for the single ranking. This week's focus is players in the Top 100 who made only one of their individual lists.

QUESTION: Robbie Erlin (LHP, SD), number 58 overall, was the highest-ranked player who appeared on just one list (Rob's). So what about Erlin makes him a top 100 player -- or, alternatively, what brings up questions about his potential?

Jeremy Deloney: I believe Erlin may be the prospect where we differ the most. He would've been in the 100-125...
