The 26-year-old was recalled after the Dodgers placed Paco Rodríguez on the disabled list. West is in his third organization since January. He was in the Rangers' organization from 2007 until January 2015 when the Blue Jays claimed him off waivers. Then, the Dodgers swept in and acquired him off waivers in early May. West originally was drafted as an infielder before being converted to a pitcher in 2011.
