A two-time Tommy John surgery survivor, Korecky was called up to provide emergency bullpen depth for the Blue Jays, a team that has already made 37 roster moves this May. Unfortunately, his trip up will last just a day, as Marcus Stroman (RHP, TOR) will be recalled in his place and Korecky will be designated for assignment. A fastball-slider pitcher, the 5’ 11”, 185-pound right-hander has never found success at the major league level, pitching a total of 26.0 innings over four disconnected seasons and sporting a 6.92 ERA and 3.1 Dom in middle relief.
