The Rockies promoted the 26-year-old to the majors for the first time after placing LHP Jake McGee on the disabled list. Anderson was a first-round pick of Colorado in 2011 and has been beset with a litany of injuries throughout his career. He missed the entire 2015 campaign because of an elbow injury and also has been shelved due to shoulder soreness in the past. He also began the year on the disabled list due to a strained oblique.
