Robert Stock (RHP, SD)
A second-round pick by the Cardinals all the way back in 2009, Stock has seen both time in the Canadian-American independent league, as well as a move from catcher to pitcher, and will make his major league debut at the age of 28 when he gets into a game. At 6’1” and 214 pounds, Stock’s transition to pitcher happened in 2012, though he is not new the position, as many teams preferred Stock as a pitcher in the draft. He’s had ample time now to hone his craft, but it’s only recently that he’s improved his conditioning and mechanics, allowing his premium heat to flourish....
