J.C. Ramirez (RHP, PHI)
The tall, hard-throwing 24-year-old has earned his first call-up after Mike Adams (RHP, PHI) was placed on the 15-day DL. Ramirez was signed out of Nicaragua in 2005, and has slowly worked his way up the levels in the minors. In 2012, he was converted from a starter to a reliever, but the results of that move have yet to pay off. Ramirez has consistently struggled with walking too many batters, and prior to this season has not carried a Dom typical for a power pitcher.
