With the Twins bullpen having difficulty getting left handers out in recent days, they dipped down to Rochester to grab journeyman Thompson, who last appeared in the majors in 2011 with the Pirates. A former first round pick (FLA) who has already undergone a 50-game suspension for a drug of abuse, the 6’3”, 195-pound Thompson has had a difficult time turning potential into performance.
