Taken with the first pick of the second round (2008) and given a $1.5 million bonus, the 6-3, 200 pound Lobstein has not panned out as scouts had envisioned. He has no true out pitch, didn’t add enough velocity onto his FB, and instead relies on his repeatable delivery, pitchability, and keeping the ball low in the zone.
