Summer Surgers and Faders

Dog days.

A time for summer vacations, weekends where you might be burnt out from 22 straight FAAB periods (five more to go!), for that "other sport" taking over our news feeds and league mates' attention, and (for the purposes of this article) a time when preconceived notions of certain players might be hiding behind recent gains or slumps.

So this week, we'll look at the basics—strikeouts and walks for pitchers; strikeouts and hard contact for batters—to see who's been surging and fading since "summer" began (June 1). Particularly interesting names are in bold with some quick-hit comments below each table; feel free to ask about others in the comments.
