SPECULATOR: 31-day surgers

The evaluation of any 31-day period is a speculative exercise. But most players in the lineup and producing now in the middle of the season have plenty of rope and time to extend their performances. This week we want to hone in on some surgers who are currently producing at loftier-than-expected levels, and weigh in on their chances of continuing that momentum. We took a look at AB, HR, BA, OPS, and SB during this period as jump-off points into our hitter universe, and found some interesting names and situations. All statistics quoted are from the most recent 31 days, unless specified.
