GM's OFFICE: Excruciating patience, v2.0

It's perhaps the most elementary tool in our analytic arsenal here at BaseballHQ.com. For the first month of the season, it's almost the only piece of advice we give:

"Practice excruciating patience."

To be fair, our research ("April performance as a leading indicator") tells us that we can't just ride out poor April performances with blind faith in a summer rebound. Still, a big part of our analysis in April and May is rooted in preaching patience, and handing out copious amounts of "chill pills."
