NEWS: The Dodgers signed free agent OF Teoscar Hernández to a one-year $23 million contract.

IMPACT: High

BHQ SPIN:  Hernandez had a solid (.258/.305/.435), but somewhat down year in Seattle in 2023 compared to the two previous seasons in Toronto.  This was largely driven by an increase in K% (31%) and declines in BB% (6%), HctX (108%) and HR/F (17%).  Hernandez still hits the ball hard (118 PX) and still had a 14% Brl%, so a move from pitcher-friendly T-Mobile Park to Dodger Stadium should help, particularly with the HR/F rate, as his xHR of 33 compared to his actual 26 HR would indicate.  With DH Shohei Ohtani occupying the DH slot for at least the 2024 season, Hernandez is expected to be the...
