NEWS: The Dodgers signed free agent OF Teoscar Hernández to a one-year $23 million contract.

BHQ SPIN: Hernandez had a solid (.258/.305/.435), but somewhat down year in Seattle in 2023 compared to the two previous seasons in Toronto. This was largely driven by an increase in K% (31%) and declines in BB% (6%), HctX (108%) and HR/F (17%). Hernandez still hits the ball hard (118 PX) and still had a 14% Brl%, so a move from pitcher-friendly T-Mobile Park to Dodger Stadium should help, particularly with the HR/F rate, as his xHR of 33 compared to his actual 26 HR would indicate.
