DR. HQ: Who's done for the year?

Garza done For the year?
The durable Matt Garza (RHP, CHC) went on the disabled list due to a triceps injury this week. Upon further review, he was determined to have a stress reaction in the back of the elbow involving the bony part of the elbow. Reviewing quickly, a stress reaction is an injury to the bone. It’s the step before a hairline fracture and it’s almost always due to a repetitive pounding or contact with the bone.  The good news is they caught the malady before it became a fracture. Kudos to Garza that he wants to come back and pitch this year; but that just doesn’t make any sense. The Cubs have been out of the playoff picture all season and the Cubs are not going to try and deal him now while his value is so low. Plan on...

Almost!
