Injury: Strained right groin
DL date: May 4 (retroactive)
Estimated DL time: Initially the Mets though he was almost ready to return. Eventually, they realized he would need more time to recover, and they don’t want to risk an arm injury due to a groin injury. He’s received an injection to help reduce the discomfort last week and is making progress. He looks to be back early in June.
Kelly Johnson (3B, ATL)
Injury: Strained oblique – right side (grade 1)
DL date: May 14
Estimated DL time: Johnson is looking at 21-24 days before he’s able to return to the Braves.
Alex Cobb (RHP, TB)
Injury: Torn ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) – pitching elbow
DL date: April 5
Estimated DL time: Cobb gave it a go as far as a rehab...
