Estimated 2015 effect upon return: This might cause a slow start at the plate in terms of batting average, until he shakes off the rust.

Anthony Rendon (3B, WAS)
Injury: Sprained MCL (medial collateral ligament) – left knee. Likely a Grade 1 strain.
DL date: April 4
Estimated DL time: Unknown. He got three opinions to discover why a supposedly minor ailment is slow to respond to treatment. MCL sprains are slow to heal because of location, blood supply, etc.
