Reportedly Kemp doesn’t have any pain in his surgically repaired left shoulder. He had part of the labrum reattached in the socket of his shoulder during that offseason operation. Pretty serious surgery, especially since the pre-op expectation was a slightly frayed labrum and nothing else as the source of his discomfort. The amount of damage surprised the Dodgers and his surgeon. His progress this spring has been steady without any setbacks, and there hasn’t been discussion in March that he needs some time on the DL. Considering the amount of damage to his shoulder, it is likely we will see some regression in his offensive numbers this season.
