As previously noted in this space, Alex Dickerson (OF, SD) was an interesting name to tuck away when mining for second-half value. But that possibility seems to have taken a major hit as Dickerson suffered yet another setback while rehabbing from a bulging disc in his lower back, making it less and less likely that Dickerson sees time on the field in 2017.
Meanwhile, Opening Day left fielder Travis Jankowski (OF, SD) remains at least a few weeks away as he makes his slow recovery from a fractured foot.
